How much of the money goes to the charity?

Subject to tax, 3rd party banking charges and exchange-rate risk, every cent goes to the charities. Thats 100%. We don't take a cent.
If all the money goes to charity how does Adtruism support itself?

We're a volunteer run organization and get a lot of help from expert advisors and companies on a pro bono basis; for which we are incredibly grateful. We could use a hand covering costs though so if you're feeling generous please get in touch about becoming a sponsor.
Where can I see how much money is being raised?

We're currently working on providing live data on the site but this won't be available for the first 3 weeks after launch.
What do you do if ad-space isn't sold?

It may sometimes happen that some of the ad-space on our network has not been sold. If that happens, instead of showing crummy cheap ads or leaving the space go unused, we show ads for early-stage startups that could use some free exposure to help get their businesses off the ground.
Do the Charities know you're generating this money for them?

Yes. We only list charities we've been in touch with.
The Charity I want to support isn't featured on the website yet, can you add it for me?

We can't guarantee support for any charity, some charities that we think are brilliant are just too contentious on divisive for some advertisers. If you let us know what cause you'd like to support though we'll do our best to get in touch with them and add it to our site.
Can I pick what kinds of ads get displayed on my site?

We dont' allow ads for dating sites, alcohol, gambling or anything illegal or inappropriate. We also block any ads that autoplay video or audio. Beyond that though, we don't offer URL blocking etc for small sites yet, but if you represent a site offering over 10m impressions a year, please get in touch.
What's your organizational structure?

Adtruism is a privately-held non-profit company limited by Guarantee.
How much will my website raise for the charity I've picked?

The amount you will depend on your content, impressions, unique visitors and a whole range of other factors. This can vary massively from 1 cent to several euro per 1000 impressions. We'll be releasing average revenues for all charities shortly after launch so you can get an idea of how much you've raised.
How can I be sure that dishonest publishers or advertisers aren’t just pasting your logo above their ads?

Good question. We'll be releasing our verification system soon so you can just click on a widgets banner to make sure the moneys going where it says it is! Developers and Designers make sure to leave the banner element's class as adtruismac if you're customizing the banners ;)

Why are you doing this?

We were tired of seeing so much pointless slacktivism online so we created a way to do something of actual value with as little effort.
